2015 Launch Collection

10 Ways To Rock Your Head Sock

So what actually is a "head sock" and how in the world do you wear it?

In simple terms, our head sock is a 20 inch long tube of jersey fabric made of a combination of quick-drying polyester and spandex with a 21 inch circumference. In other words, our head sock is a soft stretchy tube of travel versatility.

The 10 photos you see above represent ways the RambleGood team has been spotted wearing our head sock - and yes, we do actually put the headsock on our dog. She's thin furred the extra layer can be helpful on windy hikes. From our testers, we've heard a number of other ways to utilize this stretchy tube including as a pillow case for backpacking adventures! Just stuff your fluffiest clothing into the center, lay back, and catch some z's. Like our infinity scarf, our head sock is quick-drying and easy to wash by hand, machine, or in the closest stream.

Pick up your limited edition Launch Collection head sock in the shop before they're gone! And don't forget to show us how you're rocking your head sock on Instagram with #RockYourHeadSock.

The RambleGood 2015 Launch Collection

RambleGood Launch Collection

We've introduced ourselves, given you a peek behinds the scenes, and now we're pleased to share our 2015 Launch Collection with you for the first time!

We've been hard at work developing these four pieces for well over a year. Each of them created out of a need we found for simple, washable, and durable travel gear which also gives back. All four products have taken a beating through our testing process close to home in Washington State and around the globe in places like Portugal, Mexico, Peru, and more.

For this special limited edition collection, we based the custom designed fabric off our logo and signature color. The fabric was printed with water based inks and each piece was carefully hand assembled in our Seattle, Washington studio. Learn more about our belief in the power of handmade here.

At RambleGood, we believe in doing good while doing business. For each Launch Collection piece purchased, $1 will be donated to the Institute for International Education. The IIE’s mission is to advance international education and access to education worldwide. Read more about our mission to do good here.

RambleGood Infinity Scarf & Large Drawstring Bag

Infinity Scarf

An infinity scarf is the traveler’s best friend. For the fashionable, our infinity scarf brings a pop of color in a packable size. For the practical, our mid-weight jersey fabric brings just the right amount of warmth for those summer nights and makes the perfect eye cover to keep the light out if you're traveling far north in the land of the endless sun.

Large Drawstring Bag

Our large drawstring bag is big enough to stuff with a lightweight sleeping bag or a weeks’ worth of laundry from one person. Made with 100% organic cotton, it packs down small enough to hide in the corner of your bag – ready to be whipped out for whatever its purpose may be.

RambleGood Head Sock and Small Drawstring Bag

Head Sock

If our infinity scarf is the traveler’s most well known best friend, our head sock is a traveler’s secret weapon. We put this mid-weight jersey fabric tube through the rough and tumble of miles of hiking, countless hours of transit, and plenty of soccer games. It’s our most versatile product, so wear it around your neck, over your head, around your ears, or use it to wipe the raindrops off your camera.

Small Drawstring Bag

Originally designed to fit women’s shoes, our 100% organic cotton small drawstring bag is extremely versatile. Use it to separate delicate laundry, to hold your current knitting project, or to pack your poolside essentials.

Behind the Scenes: 2015 Launch Collection

Behind The Scenes At RambleGood

Have you had a chance to check out our About page yet? If not, I just want to share a little excerpt which is key to begin this post.

We believe handmade goods have the power to connect us.

While we could have outsourced the production of our products to a small factory - thereby increasing the volume of our collections and decreasing the workload on ourselves, that path doesn't fit within our value structure. Nor does it reflect why we started RambleGood in the first place.

I've always been a maker and have a great appreciation for handmade products. What I love about them is that they connect you to another person - the quilt on my bed was made by my mom and one of my favorite necklaces was carved by an artist in Hokitika, New Zealand. After years of studying conflict and conflict resolution my biggest take away was; the more we know about each other, the more we're able to relate to each other and find common ground. In my view, there lies the value of handmade - and it's ability to connect us.

So, in the spirit of what we're all about - here's the first peak behind of scenes of the makers behind RambleGood.
